Prior to his current position as Managing Partner of Arghajata, Iman was Head of the National Standardisation Agency and Chairman of the National Accreditation Committee (2002-2008). Before that, he was involved in the science and technology agencies of the Indonesian government. He was Deputy to the Minister of Research and Technology, Member of the Executive Board of the National Research Council, and IT Director of the Technology Assessment and Application Agency.
Internationally, Iman has been a member of the Council and Chairman of the Developing Countries Committee of the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO). He also chaired the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Standards and Quality. His areas of expertise include trade policy, particularly technical barriers to trade, organisational management, supply chain management and security, and risk management. Iman graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia, majoring in Electrical Engineering.
